September 11TH, 12TH & 13TH, 2020
All proceeds from this annual event go towards CAMP music programming in remote and under-served communities in saskatchewan! Always on the weekend after labour day, and always at Eagle Creek Regional Park, just 65 km west of Saskatoon.
There are obvious changes this year to stay safe during these wild times, including no scheduled line-up of events, no stage and no beer gardens. BUT there will be lots of just good ole’ fashioned hanging out, and a 1st Annual Doylefest Disc-Golf Tournament for Beginners and Advanced players, and even a workshop teaching you how to play! Also tons of camping spots still available to reserve at the park, and with weather looking like +25 this weekend, bring your bathing suit, floating device, discs, clothes to tye die, musical instruments, and let’s have one last summer hang!!
ALSO contact me if financial restraints may be keeping you from enjoying this weekend, we wish to include as many people as POSSIBLE and have COMPLIMENTARY CAMPING SPOTS AND PARK PASSES available free-of-charge. Hope to see you there.
IF YOU WISH TO DONATE, THERE WILL BE A DONATION JAR AT THE PARK, AND YOU CAN ALSO E-TRANSFER TO ELIZAMARYDOYLE@GMAIL.COM AS WELL.
DOYLEFEST September 6th-8th, 2019
Doylefest began in September 2014 as a birthday celebration, music festival-style on my land located just outside of Saskatoon. Since then, it is continually growing and developing into a major fundraiser platform that serves to bring music lessons and instruments to under served communities in the province of Saskatchewan.
A new partnership with the Eagle Creek Regional Park is seeing the festival moved to a fully-serviced campground with amenities such as washrooms and showers (a big step up from my outhouses and water tanks), a concession stand, disc golf, mini-golf and 9-Hole golf, children’s area, walking trails, electrical and non-electrical camp spots, and space available for your horses if you choose to ride there! We are so excited to work with them for this 2019 year, which is our 5th Annual Celebration.
Since working with the community of Stanley Mission, SK (located 485 km North of Saskatoon) for 5-weeks in January 2019, I am developing a community music program called CAMP, which stands for Cultural Arts Mentorship Programming. I was awarded a grant from the Saskatchewan Arts Board that will see a full-year Musician in Residency Program operated in Stanley Mission. The focus on will be on music lessons, and building local capacity through mentoring band members to job-shadow the program operations. September 2019 - September 2020 will be the first year running, and there are exciting new partnerships with Sask Music and Saskatchewan Mental Health that will see this program expand to meet the needs of the entire community.
This years festival will partner with Eagle Creek Regional Park to co-host this major fundraiser for the Cultural Arts Mentorship Program (CAMP) which, in partnership with The Cultural Exchange Society, aims to bring music programming to under served communities.
This years new facilities includes a fully serviced campground with electrical and non-electrical sites, showers, flush toilets, a concession stand, vendors, mini-golf, disc golf, a 9-hole golf course, walking trails, 25 different musical acts, children's performances, face painting, tie dying, old fashioned family games and late night jamming!! Wowza, incredible to fit this into 1 last music summer festival!! Always the weekend after the long weekend, come say hello to the fall and bid the summer adieu!!
Below you will find the schedule and line-up of events, ticket purchase links, as well as camping reservation options.
